New partnership between Italian-American automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and UK-based logistics operator Arcese Group with the focus on transforming Italy’s transportation sector in sustainable and innovative ways.

Both the companies have signed an agreement which facilitates Arcese to use the prototype of the brand-new E-Ducato, ahead of its commercial launch, which turns out to the first full model electric car by FCA.

The partnership aims to drive the Italian economy by coming up with better transport solutions to cater customers’ needs in a sustainable fashion.

Matteo Arcese, the executive president of FCA, said that they are proud to be among the first logistics operators to participate in the experimental phase they are in, with their partnership that we can truly define as being at the forefront of electrification. Adding to it, Arcese said that the E-Duchy stands as an important element for them as it fits into the set of activities aimed at achieving the aim they have set for themselves with alignment to the policies and legislative initiatives of the European Union (EU) for the reduction of carbon footprint (approx. 3900 tons of carbon dioxide in a year) in the transport sector.
