Doha Bank Rebrands Subsidiary DBAC as Sharq Insurance

The rebranding marks the company’s successes in general insurance across all of its services and products

In an announcement on Tuesday, Doha Bank said that it has rebranded its subsidiary Doha Bank Assurance Company (DBAC) as Sharq Insurance, in effect from 31st August.

According to DBAC (now Sharq Insurance) Chairman, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Jabor al-Thani, the company will operate under its new name after having secured all the requisite approvals. The name change to Sharq Insurance is part of the company’s rebranding strategy and it will continue to cater outstanding business insurance solutions to support a wider Qatari society, including individuals, small, medium and larger businesses.

Headquartered at West Bay, Sharq Insurance will remain to function from the fourth floor of the Doha Bank headquarters tower as the company would continue to commit in driving innovations to shape insurance services to the current market needs.

This rebranding will be operative form 31st across all the products and services alongside the logo as a part of celebrating Sharq Insurance’s milestones, focusing on building brand loyalty, customer trust, and reputation of the brand upon further expansion.

A 100% subsidiary of Doha Bank, Sharq Insurance is authorized by the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority for general insurance businesses.
