Cisco’s WebEx has announced to acquire #Slido along with #IMImobile to boost customer interaction on the platform.

Slovakia-based startup Slido has earned its reputation to have developed an audience interaction platform with over 7 million customers monthly. Slido also offers quizzes, Q&A session, user engagement before, during, and after for meetings using polls, making it one of the best-in-class audience engagement functionalities.

With Slido’s technology, the networking giant will gain insights into its WebEx platform’s portfolio to boost office productivity and connectivity.

According to CEO #Cisco Chuck Robbins, WebEx had around 600 million audience doubling up from the numbers in March.

With IMImobile, Cisco has plans to offer “contact center-as-a-service” (CCaaS), which makes use of artificial intelligence, programmability for customizations, collaboration tools, experience management, and omnichannel capabilities. This would present organizations the ability to provide engaging customer experiences across the entire customer life cycle, writes Omar Tawakol, general manager and vice president of Cisco Contact Center business unit, in a blog.

According to Cisco, the deal with IMImobile was worth $730 million, including debt. The price was over 48% closed on the London Stock Exchange on Friday.
