Chase and Air Canada Announce Partnership for Issuance of U.S. Credit Card

In a strategic partnership, Canadian airline Air Canada and world’s largest co-brand card issuer, #Chase have announced jointly to make Chase the sole issuer of the airline’s Aeroplan U.S. credit card. MasterCard will be the payment network for the card in the U.S.

The companies are expectant of bringing value to Air Canada’s revamped Aeroplan loyalty program, which was relaunched in early November this year. The offering allows flight rewards with more than 35 partner airlines and enhanced flexibility. Air Canada is Canada’s largest international and domestic airline.

Slated for a launch next year, Aeroplan will be a transfer partner in Chase’s Ultimate Rewards program.

In a written statement, Vice President of Loyalty and eCommerce at Air Canada, Mark Nasr remarked that the new partnership with the strength of the revamped Aeroplan program will focus on the over 2 million U.S. citizens and strengthen the ties on both sides of the border.

Representatives at MasterCard believe the three companies share the same values and commitment to put the cardholder at the center and provide meaningful experiences that enable passion points and support everyday spending.
