Germany-based #Siemens Healthineers have announced a strategic partnership worth $169 million with #Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (#MFT), a Briton hospital operator for the supply of medical imaging apparatus for the next 15 years.

According to the deal, Siemens Healthineers will install 350 planned installations alongside training, technical support, and the installation and maintenance of 222 critical medical gear over the life of the partnership.

Such partnerships form the German health technology company’s long-term focus for the future.

In a statement, MFT divisional director of imaging, Catherine Walsh talked about the increase in the demand of their imaging services by 5-10% with each passing year. The new deal will focus on delivering the best patient experience, attract talent and develop staff to reach their fullest potential, she added.

In a similar vein, Siemens Healthineers president of EMEA region, Bernd Ohnesorge remarked that the partnership is one of the broadest in scope for them so far, which will also serve as exemplar for innovative partnership solutions shaping global healthcare providers.

An on-site team of Siemens will assist with the administrative processes for MFT and ensure technology performance as a single point-of-contact for all technical matters.
