The most awaited Virtual event for Windows 11 launched on Thursday. The new operating system boasts a distinct Start Menu, Taskbar, and widgets and features that enhance productivity. However, one of the most significant advantages of the software is that it allows android apps to run on the Windows desktop. The new bet in the product is the Widgets tab, a beautiful, glass-like sheet that offers curated content to the user.

The virtual event commenced with a note by the company’s chief product officer Panos Panay who shared information on the next-generation operating system. The renewed version has impeccable design and alignment with the centered taskbar uplifting the user interface.

The layout is optimized to help the users find things quickly anywhere, like PC, one drive, or web through the search bar.

The spectacular Snap layouts help users multitask as it is tailored according to the screen size to enhance user experience. In addition, the presentation shows that the new version is more touch-friendly.

The new design includes easy navigation through vertical tabs. Moreover, the frequent challenges of the previous version were the security updates which Panay assured will be smaller and faster in Windows 11. The new OS allows the users to configure multiple desktops for home, gaming, and work. As there is a massive demand for video calls, the Teams is directly integrated into Windows 11, enabling video calls on different devices.

The existing Windows 10 users can avail of the free update to the new Windows 11, although specifications might differ; the accurate specification is a minimum of 64 gigabytes of storage and 4 gigabytes of RAM.

Users can explore a range of exciting games through the pre-installed Xbox Games Pass, a subscription service that enables users to access hundreds of games. In addition, gaming enthusiasts can experience faster and improved gaming with Auto HDR and Direct Storage API.

The company plans to offer higher profit margins to the creators and developers from its app store gains.

Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella expresses the launch as “a major milestone in the history of Windows.” He called the philosophy to design the product as the face of the company that is building itself for the next decade. He tweeted: “Today marks the beginning of a new generation of Windows. With Windows 11, we’re reimagining everything from the operating system to the store, to unlock new opportunity for people and the world.”
