Princess Cruises publicizes Island Princess and Diamond Princess comeback in 2022

Princess Cruises is a USA-based cruise line parented by Carnival Corporation & plc. The premium cruise line is publicizing a restructured timing for their Island Princess and Diamond Princess ships.

The Island Princess is presently prepared to make a comeback with a variety of cruises to the Caribbean in the spring of 2022. This comeback is set to a time preceding the 14-day Panama Canal Ocean to Ocean expedition which will take place on April 27, 2022.

The Diamond Princess will make its comeback in the spring of 2022 too. This ship is set to make a series of voyages to Japan. The specifics of both the newly drafted programs will be declared shortly.

The two premium ship lines will be included in the existing Medallion class ships, namely – Grand Princess, Ruby Princess, Majestic Princess, Regal Princess, Enchanted Princess, Sky Princess, Emerald Princess, and Caribbean Princess. The premium line and the Medallion class ships are set to return to their voyages by November 28, 2021. The voyages will span over a variety of regions including – Alaska, Panama Canal, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the California Coast.

Jan Swartz, President of the Princess Cruises, ecstatically looked forward to returning to the normal functioning of the cruise line with all guests aboard. The guests’ health and safety are of topmost priority, he mentioned.

Princess Cruises substitutes canceled cruises with an equivalent opportunity for guests

Owing to recent changes, Princess Cruises will be withdrawing from its 2021-2022 Antarctica and South America Program on the Diamond Princess ship. The 2022 World Cruise and the two December 2021 Island Princess voyages will also be canceled.

For the guests who have to deal with a canceled cruise, the premium cruise provider will propose a correspondent future cruise. This equivalent cruise opportunity will provide an additional benefit of a future cruise credit (FCC) which will be equal to 100% of the previously paid cruise fare. In case guests do not wish to voyage on a future cruise, the company will initiate a complete refund of the original payment.

Voyagers will have to submit an online form before September 30, 2021, if they will be sailing on a canceled cruise. If not, the guests will be moved to an alternate cruise by default. The FCC can be utilized on any cruise which is booked by and sails by December 31, 2022.

The company vouches to protect the travel agent commissions on bookings that were fully paid. This is due to the key role that travel agents play in the cruise line’s success.
