Al Khoory Group manifests the 6th Sky Garden Hotel in the United Arab Emirates

Al Khoory Group’s Sky Garden Hotel is situated on a plot of land where the Emirati firm has commenced its business operations in 1971 – when the emirate was founded.

Today, 50 years later, the Al Khoory Group has retraced history with the establishment of the sixth Sky Garden Hotel, just a few days before the UAE’s National Day on December 2nd when the emirate trails a new beginning for the next five decades.

As the UAE sets itself to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of its foundation, the Al Khoory Group has opened the sixth Sky Garden Hotel in the emirate. The group’s hospitality wing, Al Khoory Hotels, has established the property at the bosom of Deira, where it all began back in 1971.

The location where the hotel is situated used to be identified as the Port Saeed region that spanned to the banks of the Dubai Creek. It stands at a walking distance from the then Al Khoory Group office and plot, wherein merchant boats used to navigate goods to and from India’s economic centre Mumbai; Pakistan’s Karachi; Iran’s Bandar Abbas; and other ports in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Port Saeed and Dubai Creek used to facilitate an economic lifeline to Dubai before Port Rashid in Shindagha emerged as a major port. The boats can still be witnessed ferrying goods from and to their docks at the Dubai Creek, adjacent to Al Maktoum Bridge where Dubai Customs holds its operations.

The emirate’s economic scene began to extend on either side of the Dubai Creek owing to the frenzied trading activities.

Al Khoory Group is a versatile Emirati family business conglomerate with an interest in automotive, equipment trading, real estate, engineering consultancy services, waste management, environment, hospitality, and tourism sectors. The firm amasses water pumps, waste disposal bins, chutes, electric control panels, and electric generators. The group has cemented its presence throughout Oman, Qatar, and the UAE.

The foresight of Mohammed Tayyeb Khoory, Chairman of the Al Khoory Group, has been reformed into reality by his sons, who have guaranteed highly qualitative specialized services, skilled workforce, professional management, and a commitment towards continual improvisation in the standard of services. These elements have amalgamated to make the group a resounding success and one of the most eminent business houses in the UAE.
