DAN.it, a Ukrainian edtech company has launched what it claims to be the first immersive online global training prrogram in the Metaverse.

The company aims to create platform through which students can interact with an online university and receive immersive training programs.

The company, which had initially created the platform to avoid disruption of Ukrainian students education due to the Russian invasion, is now keen to expand in the EU and the UK to offer wider use of its immersive training program.

CEO of DAN.it, Ksenia Stolbovaya, mentioned that the integrated virtual and augmented reality platform was especially useful for students who face difficulties with online learning.

Stolbovaya further said that existing communication platforms were unable to cover all aspects of education, since students were likely to switch off cameras and microphones, thereby missing out on learning experiences and team building.

As an alternative to being on camera, participants in the Metaverse program will ba able to designt ehri own avatar, control their character, and communicate through it using the microphone.

This experience facilitates a closed work environment for students, and lends a personal touch that existing online educational platforms do not offer.

Currently, the program emphasizes on technology training. Majority of the students on the platform are training for IT and other tech jobs, and the Metaverse platform offers a hands-on approach that enhances IT skills. In addition to this, the company also intends to offer high school mathematics classes and diversify to other fields of study as the number of participants on the platform increases.

Metaverse platform specifically designed for learning

According to Stolbovaya, most of the Metaverse is being utilised for gaming, while the platform offered by DAN.it is a special Metaverse specifically designed for creating teaching and learning spaces.

The company has expanded its operations to other countries in addition to Ukraine and the UK, including Israel, Poland and Azerbaijan. The platform offers the services of course-coordinators and mentors from around the world, including HR managers who can assist students with resumes, interviews and any othe tissues encountered while in the Metaverse.
