Hashkey Group, has announced a strategic partnership with EtherPOAP, a series of community events established by a group of passionate cohorts of the Ethereum environment and incubated by IPrinter DAO to honour the significant Merge event.
HashKey Group will help ease its events and community activities to revel the Ethereum Merge and its following protocol advancements, as a key partner. One of such events is a free mint programme of a Proof-of-Attendance Protocol (POAP) badge, an ERC-721 NFTs designed as tamper-proof digital tokens, which can become an everlasting share of a user’s decentralized identifier (DID). Upcoming EtherPOAP events are projected to feature concepts including NFT value, decentralized identities and DAO governance.
Honouring the birth and the merge of Ethereum
In 2014, Vitalik Buterin first introduced Ethereum to the world at the Bitcoin Conference in Miami, USA. During this time, the rapid growth of the Ethereum and its surrounding environment is tangible, as blockchain and digital assets aficionados in the space have jointly experienced and witnessed how the network and its community have evolved and technologically advanced over the years.
The story of Ethereum initiated with the unveiling of its genesis block, as a result of a 42-day Bitcoin crowdfunding event in July 2014. Since its introduction, Ethereum has carried out key network and protocol upgrades such as, Byzantium (2017), Constantinople (2019), St. Petersburg (2019), Istanbul (2019) and utmost newly the Berlin (2021) and London (2021) hard fork upgrades. The Merge, which indicates Ethereum’s full transition from the Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake consensus instrument, is anticipated to be finalized in 13-15 September 2022.
