Dubai Metaverse Assembly, organized by Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) explores the limitless potential of the metaverse to create a transforming future. The event will be held on 28th and 29th September 2022 at the Museum of the Future and Emirate Towers.
Dubai Metaverse Assembly is built on the Dubai Metaverse Strategy under the decrees of the Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The event becomes home to over 300 global experts, policymakers, decision makers and thought leaders from more than 40 organizations with envoys joining in sessions and conferences that open the realm of metaverse and its impacts on humanity to create a promising future.
Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Deputy Managing Director of Dubai Future Foundation, His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama stated that the specific event is a first for the region and an exclusive occasion to exchange knowledge and ideas on the best resolutions, projects and industries that could benefit from the boundless possibilities of the metaverse.
Dubai Metaverse Assembly also focuses on boosting the economic growth, bringing forward renovating innovations driven by the opportunities that metaverse could offer. His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama added that the event will serve as a global platform summoning technology expert and broader metaverse community to outline and utilize the prospects of metaverse.
Executive Director and General Manager of Binance MENA, Alex Chehade states that the Dubai Metaverse Assembly will provide a platform to bring the regional and global metaverse community together under one roof and provide insight to the role of a decentralized world in a digital economy. Building an innovation in the industry that provides long-term growth is shaped by a progressive and stable regulatory framework and regulation will significantly influence the prospects of virtual worlds and their applications in the future. Alex Chehade also adds that Dubai Metaverse assembly is an ideal platform to achieve the above-mentioned objectives.
The event will consist of comprehensive programs encompassing more than 25 workshop and meetings that will take place at Museum of Future and AREA 2071 at Emirates Towers discussing topics ranging from building scalable metaverse infrastructure to creating robust and business friendly regulations.
Dubai Metaverse Strategy
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the Dubai Metaverse Strategy in July 2022 and Dubai Metaverse Assembly is first of its kind since his approval. Dubai Metaverse Strategy intends to add USD 4 billion to Dubai’s GDP, support more than 30,000 virtual jobs by 2030 and attract 1,000 companies concentrating in blockchain and metaverse technologies and to transform Dubai into one of the world’s top 10 metaverse economies.
