The luxury brand has paced up its own individual efforts with a Reflaunt partnership

Balenciaga formally entered the resale program in partnership with resale start-up Reflaunt. Co-founded by Stephanie Crespin, Reflaunt already partners with luxury purveyors like, Saks Off 5th, Yoox Net-a-porter, Ganni, Mr Porter COS, TheOutnet and Harvey Nichols. This year, the company recorded USD 11 million in series A funding. Its differentiator is its resale button that incorporates impeccably on product pages and allows a brand’s customers to list items in a few clicks through a variety of 25 resale marketplaces. Reflaunt handles the documentation, photography, authentication, and merchandising of commodities.

Balenciaga Resell program reaches stores and online

While the consequences of volume consumption continue to be accomplished businesses have multiplied through on sustainability efforts. The French fashion house has expanded its practices for reducing the impact on the environment. The whole lot from Balenciaga sweatshirts and hoodies to boots are available for resale under its new Resell program.

Benefits advertised by the French fashion house

Balenciaga advertises five benefits for customers who opt to resell applying this direction: highest pay-out, faster selling, a seamless experience, an instant reward for iconic pieces and circularity. As section of the program, shoppers can redeem a higher amount of credit to increase new Balenciaga purchases in participating stores in France, Italy, the U.K., the U.S. and Singapore.

Beginning on the 26th of September, products can be dropped off at participating Balenciaga stores or collected through a scheduled assistance available on Balenciaga’s website.

Considering the value of Balenciaga goods through various sites, the ruling presents the luxury brand an opportunity to recapture value. According to the French fashion house, the Resell program is designed to promote the ways of reducing, reusing, and recycling and to reward users for their participation.
