Ras Al Khaimah(#RAK) Municipality has launched Emirate’s first aggravated solar tender with the completion of its solar carport project.

Inviting the solar engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) and commercial leasing companies in the tending process, Ras Al Khaimah has targeted to implement the solar PV projects next year.

The first of its kind, the energy efficiency and renewables office of the Municipality- #Reem- is expected to supervise the procurement process partially, through a joint tender. Additionally, Reem’s future plans include new green projects with network expansions in multiple areas across Ras Al Khaimah.

Being one of the fastest-growing economies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ras Al Khaimah has targeted to meet the “Energy Efficiency and #Renewables Strategy 2040”, where it’d aim at 20% water efficiency, 20% contribution to renewables, and 30% in energy efficiency of Emirate’s electricity mix by 2040.
