The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has established fresh dates for the upcoming PATA Annual Summit. Initially scheduled to take place live and in-person in March 2022, the forum will presently be held from October 25th to October 27th, 2022, in Ras Al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates.

The PATA Annual Summit in the UAE

The PATA Summit will be the only time the non-profit travel association, the most extensive covering Asia-Pacific, will host its Annual Summit in West Asia.

Hosted by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), the three-day symposium brings together international leaders, senior decision-makers, and industry shapers invested in steering tourism to, within, and from the Asia Pacific region.

The PATA association network comprises private and public organisations representing each faction of the travel ecosystem – hotels, tourism offices, airlines, government offices, SMEs, MNCs, universities, and other travel-related firms interested in the Asia Pacific geography.

The event, encompassing conference presentations, workshops, leadership task force sessions, PATA board meetings, and a travel mart constituent, will be hosted in several regions throughout the emirate. In addition, PATA will host the summit at the Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Desert, the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, and the Al Hamra International Exhibition & Conference Centre.

Scouting the theme – ‘Reconnecting the World,’ the program will facilitate a platform for PATA’s public and private sector individuals and collaborators to summon crucial industry topics, including destination recuperation strategies, human capital development, flexibility & sustainability, women in travel, and innovation.

PATA CEO Liz Ortiguera stated that the annual summit in Ras Al Khaimah this year was a delight to organise and would bring together the industry network to discuss prospects and the best practices to allow speedy healing and sustainable growth.

Ortiguera stated that the squad was working hard to put together a summit program, within the ‘Reconnecting the World’ theme, that will take on a more pragmatic plan and exploit in-person links and engross an appreciation for the stunning destination of Ras Al Khaimah. Finally, Ortiguera invited all of PATA’s members, partners, and industry colleagues to join for the long-awaited opportunity of the summit.

CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, Raki Phillips, added that as the firm navigated via a new-fangled epoch of tourism and travel, portals like the Pacific Asia Travel Association Summit deliver priceless insights that assist in guiding the industry forward.

The CEO expressed his delight in hosting the symposium in Ras Al Khaimah, a nature-abundant destination with excellent connectivity and accessibility that reflects Asian tourists. Amalgamated with international hospitality brands and world-class meeting venues, Phillips was confident that the PATA Annual Summit in the fall of 2022 would be a resounding success.

Viewed as the fastest-growing destination in the Middle East, Ras Al Khaimah established an international benchmark by being the central city in the globe to be certified safe & secure by the ‘Safe Travels Stamp’ from the World Travel & Tourism Council and the ‘SafeGuard Label’ from Bureau Veritas. The destination was also dubbed the ‘Gulf Tourism Capital’ for both 2020 and 2021 by the Gulf Cooperation Council.

With over 7,000 years of spellbound history, culture, and tradition, Ras Al Khaimah vows to deliver authentic and easy access to the ideal Arabian experience. A harbour of year-round sunshine, the emirate landscapes untouched beaches, plush mangroves, and terracotta sandbanks, alongside abundant, green oases, and the theatrical, awe-inspiring panoramas of the regal Hajjar mountains.
