Singapore-based #Lightnet Group has made an announcement of partnering with #Siam Commercial Bank (SCB).

The company is focused on providing remittance services across Thai banks and supports instant bank-to-bank services through government-sponsored #PromptPay.

In a statement, Chief Product Officer of Lightnet Group, Suvicha Sudchai said that the partnership will enable electronic payment processing and facilitate smooth real-time remittances to Thailand globally from any part of the world with lower fees. The partnership will offer SCB additional international money transfer options throughout Southeast Asia with the aid of Lightnet Group’s channels.

Lightnet Group also has plans to make disruptive changes in the industry with the help of a core team from Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Lenovo, and Alibaba. The integration with PromptPay will further forge inclusion and participation for both the underbanked and unbanked.

Remarking on the partnership, Tridbodi Arunanondchai, CEO and Vice Chairman of Lightnet Group expressed pride over working with Siam Commercial Bank to support remittances cross-border along with another fintech solution provider SENTBE.

South Korea-based SENTBE offers financial and overseas remittance services with easy user experiences, fast transaction speeds, and low fees.
