Founding Corporate Council of eight organizations has teamed up to help propel the development and adoption of the Mental Health at Work Index

URAC is a partner in the Founding Corporate Council to assist the expansion and global adoption of the Index. URAC unifies with Bank of America, Aon, AXA, Jardine Matheson, Business Group on Health, MINDSET Limited (Hong Kong), MINDSET Care Limited (Singapore), LifeWork, and Prudential. Informed by science and led by physical-world experience, the Mental Health at Work Index takes the speculation out of mental health at work. With the Mental Health at Work Index, businesses across the globe can measure, improve, and innovate their workplace mental health endeavours.

A Founding Corporate Council of eight organizations has teamed up to help propel the development and adoption of the Mental Health at Work Index to identify the significance of delivering a standardized tool to help establishments of all sizes and across businesses worldwide invest in sustainable and finest workplace mental health programs. These founding members contribute their knowledge and perspectives to guarantee the rational worth of the Index.

The founding members consist of:

  • Bank of America
  • Aon
  • AXA, Asia & Africa, Founding Principal Partner
  • Business Group on Health
  • Jardine Matheson, MINDSET Limited (Hong Kong), and MINDSET Care Limited (Singapore)
  • URAC
  • LifeWorks
  • Prudential

The Mental Health at Work Index will begin in early 2023 as soon as the existing beta testing interval is complete.

By completing the Mental Health at Work Index, businesses can benchmark their programs and services and develop the finest services and offerings that will translate into tangible effects. The Index is associated with global guidelines and standards, involving International Organization for Standardization, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board, and the newly stated World Health Organization standards. It guides leaders across a library of resources and practical evidence-built recommendations that offer them verified data to notify strategic decision-making about mental health programs so that they can make a course of action for their organizations that will make a noteworthy variance in the mental health of their workforce.

The Mental Health at Work Index three Ps framework evaluates workforce mental health programs across the Protection, Promotion, and Provision of the care continuum. The assessment plunges deep into ten organizational classifications: mental health strategy, workforce engagement, leadership, organizational culture, communication, work environment, mental health benefits, mental health training, occupation methods, and examining and reporting.

Shawn Griffin, MD, President, and CEO of URAC, stated that companies need to concentrate on mental health strategies to support their members, wherein the current workforce necessitates the situation. By partnering with other leaders in this area, URAC can extend its proficiency as a trusted, independent, third-party intermediary of health care quality. The Mental Health at Work Index allows organizations to assess their accomplishment in establishing the mental wellness of their personnel. URAC is delighted to be a founding partner of One Mind at Work working together with One Mind, Columbia University Mental Health + Work Design Lab, and Ethisphere to prepare businesses with easy-to-access resources and practical references to support mental health in the workplace in impactful, quantifiable ways.

Axa and about forty corporate partners as well as Aon Plc and Prudential Financial Inc. will pilot-test the index, which obtained $3 million in funding and supplants a simpler assessment One Mind earlier applied. The index should be accessible for any business to purchase early next year. The scorecard’s supporters expect it can focus on levels of stress, anxiety, and depression that surged during the pandemic, estimating organizations twelve billion workdays a year, according to the World Health Organization.
