Under the new collaboration, Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DIEZ) will provide the participants with specialized and practical experience to learn about global standards and global market competition

Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DIEZ) announces its partnership with DP world to promote the Tumoohi initiative. The decision to adhere shows Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DIEZ)’s commitment to preparing the next generation of leaders and promoting Emirati competencies in the logistics and trade sectors. DP world’s initiative Tumoohi is a training program, aimed at improving the career growth opportunities of capable and young Emiratis by giving them the right training to develop a professional skill set and knowledge to advance in a highly competitive market.

Tumoohi through its developed training programs and on-the-job experience in various multinational companies provides learners an opportunity to enhance their professional relationship with leading industrialists along with showcasing their competencies with employers seeking focused talent.  The young learners will have an opportunity to train and work at Dubai Commercity, which is the first free zone dedicated to digital commerce.

The concepts of ‘technology first’ and ‘digital commerce’ are adopted by the Commercity to branch out an operational approach for regional companies that are competitive in the digital economy.  Under the new collaboration, Dubai Integrated Economic Zones will provide the participants with specialized and practical experience to learn about global standards.

Vice President of Human Resources at Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DIEZ), Saeed Mubarak Obaid Murad states that Dubai Integrated Economic Zones  (DIEZ) gives primary significance to Emiratisation and qualifying Emirati competencies at the top of tactical priorities that fall in line with the strategic national plans and projects of the leadership. “Through its three free zones, DIEZ is home to more than 5,000 international companies covering 20 key economic sectors, offering participants of this program a unique opportunity to work with major international companies of all sizes,” says Saeed Mubarak Obaid Murad.

This will aid in developing the learner’s capabilities that allow them to gain a professional and focused skill set to join the private sector workforce. He further adds that through the initiative they intend to make the prospects of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DIEZ)’s free zones more convincing and powerful to attract international as well as local talent with the help of providing opportunities and strengthening cooperation to promote the Emiratisation of their staffs.

The participants will be provided an opportunity to work with DIEZ and companies registered in Dubai Silicon Oasis and the Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ) provide several career growth opportunities across prominent international as well as national organizations which have been within the two free zones in the past 26 years. He adds that the renewal of cooperation falls in line with the vision of the country’s leaders and empowers the talents of Emiratis and moulding them to become future leaders.

Dubai Commercity aims to enhance returns, under the new direction, sustainable growth, and economic contributions to have a positive impact on the experience of talents, companies, and investors.

Yousuf Ahmad Al Aslai, Manager, Tumoohi, DP World UAE addresses the importance of youth for the development of a country and the success of UAE in the next 50 years. Hence, the initiative looks forward to improving the possibilities of success by lending a hand for the technical and logistical capabilities along with providing a young workforce with pioneering ideas that enhance commercial growth.

DP World’s Tumoohi Initiative programs will offer new Emirati graduates the prospect to gather experience from leading global and local organizations, that help them to develop the required skills to excel in the ever-changing and advancing work environment of the present-day world. The initiative encourages trainees to connect with leading industry experts and potential employers and create good relationships over the long run.
